Enrichment: development and stretch

As part of a complete programme of study, students are involved in a range of activities that all complement the formal curriculum. These additional opportunities ensure they are an attractive applicant to universities and employers.

There is no cap of the amount of enrichment activities students can become involved in and we pride ourselves in offering a range and depth of additional activities that we believe to be without parallel.

Our enrichment opportunities include (but are in no way limited to):

  • Duke of Edinburgh Gold award (open to all students – no previous experience needed)
  • Med-start; our wide-ranging package of activities and opportunities to support students wishing to pursue a career in medicine
  • Law society
  • Bar mock trial competitions
  • Competitive team and individual sport
  • Participation sport
  • Community sports leaders award
  • Debating and public speaking
